Good afternoon,
Thank you for filing to run as a candidate for a county or state office! You are invited to the Greater Topeka Chamber Candidate Forums. This educational opportunity is livestreamed to the public to learn about candidates in advance of voting.
It will be held at WIBW, 631 SW Commerce Pl, Topeka, KS 66615, and hosted by Melissa Brunner on Thursday, September 4th. All campaigns are invited. This event is from 1:30 PM-3:00 PM.
What to expect:
- Arrive no later than 1:10 PM.
- Topic areas are provided by WIBW News in partnership with the Greater Topeka Chamber.
- No surrogates are allowed.
- No plus ones allowed.
Run of Show (subject to change):
- 1:30 PM – Introductions
Format: Three 30-minute segments featuring:
- 1:30 PM - Mayoral Candidates
- 2:00 PM -District 1 Candidates
- 2:30 PM -District 3 Candidates
- 3:00 PM – Closing
(You're welcome to leave upon completion of your segment)
Please note that if you do not have an opponent, we still would like you to participate in this program.
