Women's and Babies' Lives at Stake in Woman's Right to Know Trial |
After seven days of testimony at the Johnson County Courthouse in Olathe, the trial over Kansas's Woman's Right to Know (WRTK) informed consent law has concluded. Lawyers for the abortionists at Hodes & Nauser's Center for Women's Health and Planned Parenthood Great Plains failed to present evidence of even one woman seeking an abortion who had been harmed by the WRTK informed consent law, which has been in place for more than 25 years. Witnesses for the abortion industry revealed deep biases against informed consent, making statements such as: |
- The term "father" is just a social construct, so women don't need to know the father is liable for child support
- All reasons for abortion are valid, so asking why a woman seeks one isn't necessary
- Signs informing women that it is illegal for anyone to coerce them into having an abortion, that they have the right to change their mind, and that medical and financial help is available, cause women to "ask a lot of questions" and "take up too much staff time."
- If the fetus does feel pain, it would only be for a millisecond, because "it is going to die anyway"

In defense of the WRTK law, several women testified they were not told about fetal development, abortion risks, or alternatives before the law existed -- and that they would have chosen differently if they had known. Their emotional pain decades later underscored the importance of informed consent. Expert witnesses for the state, including an OB/GYN, neonatologist, a medical doctor with specialties in internal medicine and medical ethics, and a professor of neurobiology, testified that: |
- Abortion is not healthcare, as it does not preserve or restore a woman's health
- Women have a right to know that Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) can be a life-saving option that makes sense biologically
- Collecting data on the reasons for abortion has public health significance
- Abortion providers are not well aligned with the interests of women considering abortion.

Defense Against the Dark Art of Euthanasia |
When best-selling author J.K. Rowling recently announced she's changed her mind about assisted suicide, it made headlines -- and for good reason. In this episode, Alex Schadenberg of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition explains why Rowling's warning about the risk of coercion should concern us all. He unpacks who is most vulnerable, how the "assisted dying" movement is expanding globally, and why true compassion means protecting life, not ending it. |
