Good afternoon. We've already begun preparation for Washburn's 2025 Homecoming celebration. Although it's four months away, we'd like to get it on your calendar in hopes you'll consider participating in the 2025 Washburn University Homecoming Parade, Saturday, October 25, 2025. Last year's parade was the largest one ever and despite the rain, everyone had a good time … parade participants and spectators. The parade route is only one mile, which is easy for those who walk in the parade. Also, it's compact so spectators will be close together rather than scattered throughout campus. See map of parade route below.
Participation in the parade is a great way to showcase your organization, business, department, candidacy for political office, neighborhood and more. For additional information and online parade entry registration, visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2025WUparade
Our Washburn Homecoming day will tentatively look like this:
8-10 a.m. All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Feed at Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center (17th & Jewell Ave.)
9-9:45 a.m. Parade entry line up (parking lot on MacVicar between 19th and 20th St.
10 a.m. Parade begins
11 a.m. Tailgate party
1 p.m. Football game
