Architect One was thrilled to sponsor and attend the annual Wine & Roses benefit hosted by the American Cancer Society—an inspiring evening filled with generosity, community, and meaningful impact.
It is such a privilege to support the ACS in their mission to provide critical resources, compassionate care, and emotional support to those navigating cancer treatment and recovery. |

| | In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we're sharing how intentional design can support healing, comfort, and care. Our recent work with the Family Service & Guidance Center puts these principles into practice. |
| | You know that feeling when you walk into a space and instantly feel at ease? That's the power of thoughtful design. From medical facilities to schools, the way a space is designed can make a huge difference in how we feel. Great design reduces stress, supports healing, and helps people feel safe. In the middle of a growing mental health crisis, that's no longer a luxury, it's a necessity.
Right now, the demand for behavioral health care is surging. Emergency rooms are overcrowded, and psychiatric units often have waitlists that stretch for weeks. Community providers are doing everything they can to meet the need, but many are delivering care in buildings that weren't designed for it. That's where trauma-informed design comes in.

| | It might sound intimidating, but "biophilic" just means bringing more nature into our everyday spaces. Think big windows with sunlight pouring in, textures that remind you of the outdoors, and maybe a glimpse of greenery nearby. |

| Why does it matter? Research shows these natural touches can actually lower stress, ease anxiety, and even boost your mood. |

| We're proud to share that our Senior Project Architect, Emily Koenig, AIA has been recognized with not one, not two, but three awards for her outstanding work in partnership on the Brandt Hotel, Spruce Apartments, and the Eames Building projects.
Work on the restoration of the beautiful Eames Building entailed the careful preservation and restoration of one of Manhattan's distinguished historic office buildings located in the downtown area of the little apple. Constructed primarily of locally sourced limestone, the building underwent a significant renovation in 1933—a transformation that has since acquired historic significance in its own right. |
