Another poor decision by certain City Council member's. I didn't realize part of your duties as "elected" council was to purchase a hotel that WAS NOT for the greater good of Topeka. The "so called" reasoning was you didn't want it to fall on the hands of someone, who wouldn't maintain it. I'm sorry, I don't believe you're making sound decisions of our city as a whole. The amount of money expended on a hotel that clearly was already upside down and had been for awhile. 7.6 million purchase, consultant fee $516,300, Schwerdt Design to assess the building and to not exceed $157,680.
