The blessing of the Holy Trinity be upon you!

Wonderful news for our future Parish Hall!

I just received an email from Craig Abraham, Chairman of our Diocese Executive Committee.  He writes: 

...the Executive Committee of DOWAMA, has selected St Peter's and Paul Orthodox Church in Topeka, KS to receive funding from the Mission Fund as well as the Bishop Basil Endowment Fund. The amount you will be receiving will be $100,000.00 from the Mission Fund in DOWAMA and $40,000.00 from the Bishop Basil Endowment Fund. The funding will come in two payments; the first payment will come from the Mission Fund from our treasurer Jeff Massad the second portion has been requested from the Archdioceses and we are waiting on an approval from them.

Glory to Jesus Christ!  Please join me in giving thanks to God on receiving this grant.  This will help us reach our goal of raising $500,000.00 before we break ground and contribute to the total estimated cost of the Parish Hall being between $1.5 and $1.75 million dollars.

Hi Henry, I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Before the rush of next week hits and your inbox fills up with Giving Tuesday messages -- I wanted to reach out to you personally. If you're planning to participate in Giving Tuesday this year, would you consider making Kansans for Life part of your impact? Earlier this week, we shared some of the exciting ways your support will help us advance the cause of Life in 2026. But we also need to talk about the challenges in front of us right now -- the threats Kansas is facing, and the solutions we're ready to pursue.  The Threats 1. Outside Money Targeting Kansas  Well-funded national organizations (and even foreign-linked influences) are increasingly pouring resources into states they view as strategic targets. Kansas is one of them.  We've already seen what this looks like in real time.  In 2022, millions of dollars from outside Kansas, even from overseas, flooded into our state to influence a single election outcome. It was an eye-opening revelation that powerful interests see Kansas as a gateway to advance their anti-life agendas.  Now, those same forces are preparing for what comes next. They're investing in campaigns, coalitions, and narratives designed to shift Kansas policy toward the abortion industry's radical agenda.  On a recent episode of KFL's podcast, we discussed how these funding streams are being used to influence states like ours and why we must stay informed and ready to respond.  2. The Push to Change End-of-Life Protections  Now, a national group has filed a lawsuit in state court, and it is easy to see their planned endgame. The so-called "Compassion and Choices" organization is on a nationwide crusade in favor of assisted suicide, and Kansas is in their proverbial crosshairs.   We exposed this group and its aims on our podcast, because these conversations are gaining momentum nationally -- and Kansas is part of that conversation now.   The good news: we will fight back. With strong support here at home, Kansans for Life continues to:  Pursue life-protecting laws Advance legislation keeping foreign entities from influencing our elections  Educate Kansans with clear, truthful information about abortion, assisted suicide and positive alternatives to both Equip communities to push back against outside political influences Giving Tuesday plays a critical role in making that possible.  It fuels the work that keeps Kansas a place where the vulnerable are defended and where life is valued from its beginning to its natural end.  If you're planning to participate in Giving Tuesday this year, would you consider making Kansans for Life part of your impact?
