Here's the location for the next zoning meeting:
The Planning Commission's subcommittee - "Standard for Housing Committee" members as of February 17, 2025, minutes are Jim Kaup, Del-Metrius Herron, Katy Nelson, Willie Brooks. A search of COT/Topeka Speaks indicates the sub-committee meetings are not listed on the calendar, and no minutes from any meetings by the sub-committee were located for public review.
Westboro has invited neighbors to a meeting on SUNDAY AUGUST 3, 2025, 3:30pm at St. David's Episcopal Church, 3916 SW 17th Avenue. Please join in the continued discussion about proposed zoning changes to R1/R2 neighborhoods!
As of this email - there is no agenda available for the Planning Commission meeting Monday August 18, 2025, 6:00pm meeting, however the representatives from the City of Topeka at the meeting July 31, 2025, indicated the proposed zoning change to R1/R2 neighborhoods would be a "discussion" item. If you can appear in person - that would be great, if not - please share your concerns at Topeka Speaks. We must continue to voice our concerns to both the planning commission and the city council!
