This is a State Legislative Statute, not City nor County. I sent an email to Shawnee County Commissioner's with inquiry and it's not been answered as of this date.It's very distasteful to continue to get the run around when our entities don't want to be clear with direction, but rather shift you to "someplace else". Discouraging at it's finest.

Per K.S.A 19-2670, the members of this commission are comprised of government officials from various points of local government and 18 other individuals who are appointed by the government officials on the commission. The statue lists specific positions that would be on this board, like the county commissioners. We suggest you look up who fills these positions and reach out to them for more information. T he City of Topek also has a Citizen Advisory Council which may serve a similar purpose to the council in the statute. You can find their meeting attendance roster and member contact information here.
