The biennial reorganization meeting of the Second Congressional District Republican Committee was held December 7, 2024, at the Kansas State Capitol. The purpose of this meeting was to elect 37 members and 37 alternate members to the State Republican Party Committee and to elect a chair, a vice chair, a secretary, a treasurer, and a representative at-large for the Second District Republican Committee for a term lasting approximately two years. Our mission is to highlight areas within city and county governments, as well as the state and federal governments, where taxpayer funds may be misused or mismanaged. Shawnee County, like many other regions, faces the challenge of ensuring that taxpayer money is spent efficiently and effectively. Unfortunately, inefficiencies, fraud, and waste can often go unnoticed unless residents actively monitor government actions.
