Every Monday morning I write down 3 random thoughts and reflect on them. This is something I've been doing since my prison days. This little ritual helps me step back and reflect on things before I start my week. Let's see if it does the same for you. So with that said... Let's jump into the first thought on my mind this morning... 1. Trust is not just a word. It's a lifeline. During my 10 years behind bars... I found out what trust truly meant. Because before prison, I had a tight group of friends. Actually, we were more than friends. We were brothers. We'd fight together. We'd feed each other (not literally). We'd do crimes together. We never let each other down... Or so I thought. As I sat in my cell, it got me thinking... And I realized the truth: Not a single one of these "brothers" was there for me. None. When I first realized this, it made me angry. I became resentful. But deep down? I was shattered. But when I look back, I'm grateful that happened to me. Why?
