Meet Annette Harper

About myself.  I was born in Wichita, KS   I have lived in many places in my short life.   We have lived in Texas twice (which I love) , Florida, Oklahoma, and Africa (for 4 years).   My parents were missionaries. My brave parents took us on that wonderful adventure.   Don't know how they did it!  CRAZY  You think this Corona Virus was bad Try taking 5 children under 10 to Africa.    No medical help to speak of.  My brother and I both had Malaria while we were there.  Got into all kinds of things and trouble.  We had a monkey, carrier pigeons a dog, & chickens.   Getting a hamburger was quite a process in itself.  Had to find the cow, kill it ground up the meat, make the bun, make the ketchup, mustard,  grow the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers (and make pickles) and if you want cheese had to milk the cow or goat and make yourself.    So not much cheese to be had.    No small task.  LOADS of stories from that time in my life.   I moved to Topeka when I was starting College.  Graduated from Washburn University with an Associates degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors in Accounting.    I met my husband in College and we have been married for 34 years.    My husband was born and raised in Topeka his whole life.   Our favorite thing is to travel.  I gave him the travel bug.   God gave us this great big world and it is so awesome to see it all.   We usually take at least one big trip a year.  We were blessed with 2 wonderful children.  A daughter who is 25 and lives in Chicago in the downtown loop.  She went to Kstate and got her masters in Business and is a hotshot with a large Corporation making serious money.   Our Son is 22 and still lives at home with us.   He is still trying to figure out his spot in life.   (Boys take a little longer)   But he will get it as well.   I was a stay at home mom till I started real estate in 2004.   I have only been at Coldwell Banker.   I love the CBAH family.   We are the BEST.   I love my job.
Please stay safe and may God bless you all!
Annette

Subject: (Office Message) - Fun!

Good Afternoon, first I want to thank Bryon, Gary and Michelle for keeping us afloat. Next, thank you to Neil and Amanda for their tireless work with marketing. I thought it might be fun to share our own persons. I have worked with many of you over the years, but maybe not know all about you. So, I thought I would start with "who I am". I was born and raised in Topeka. Graduated from Topeka High! (HO HO Mighty Troy). I then graduated from Washburn University with a degree in Education. I then taught girls physical education at Jay Shideler Jr. High for 7 years. I also coached Volleyball, Basketball, Gymnastics and Track. (about 10 cents an hour) I do have a master's from KU in secondary counseling.
Craig and I have been married for 51 years! We have too sons, Michael, a project manager for a roofing company in Houston. Not married. Matt, is a carpenter living in Lawrence. Not married. He has two sons, Drysten age 24 and Cash age 11. Craig, being a retired builder thinks he is rich and retired. NOT! We have moved over 50 times just in Topeka. I enjoy reading, golf and travel when possible! I so love my friends at CBAH. If you would like to share who you are, please chime in. If not, I will sick Vicki T. on you. Just kidding. She is the best! Stay safe and healthy. Your friend, Cathy

See you on Zoom!
