I have a big problem. And instead of giving advice. Like I do in most of my emails... Today, I'm asking for it. So, over the past few months, USPS (the post office) has been losing customers' orders. Now, not only does this delay shipments... But it also costs me a lot in re-shipments. You see, I do everything in my power to get your order to you as fast as possible. I employ a large shipping staff that literally packages orders as they come in. In fact, we always get packages out the same day they're ordered. The sad part? It doesn't matter how fast we get orders out the door if USPS loses them. The post office ruins all the hard work we put into making sure we're quick about packaging and sending out orders. But here's the bigger problem: Most customers don't realize that we have absolutely no control over what happens to their package after it leaves our warehouse. Even worse? We're blamed for orders not arriving on time. I can't stand this. We work so hard to make sure we're quick about getting your order shipped... Only to have USPS lose the package. And we get blamed. I wish customers understood that USPS gives us the same information they give you. The tracking number. And if the tracking number doesn't update or gets stuck in transit, we can't do anything about it. So what can we do? Re-ship your order after 12 days. Now, this is extremely expensive for me. Considering I already cover shipping costs. And when USPS loses a package, I have to cover the cost of the products and shipping. Again. So, now that you understand my problem... The question is... Would you be willing to pay an additional $5 on top of your order for more reliable shipping? I've spent the last few days going over numbers. And if I charge $5 for shipping... We can afford UPS or FEDEX. These two couriers don't lose packages. And they have a 98% on time delivery rate. Meaning, you'd get your order in 4-5 days like you're supposed to. So... What do you think? Is it worth it? Hit the "reply" button and let me know. Have a blessed day... -John Carlisle |
