Every Monday morning, I write down 3 random thoughts and reflect on them. This is something I've been doing since my prison days. This little ritual helps me step back and reflect on things before I start my week. Let's see if it does the same for you. So with that said... Let's jump into the first thought in my mind this morning... 1. Some people are self sabotagers, and they are their own worst enemy. The older I get, the more I realize that some people are their own worst enemy... And no matter how much you help them, it won't make a difference. For example... I had a friend in high school who had a lot of potential in life... He was fun to be around. He was smart. And he was extremely talented. So I figured he'd be successful. But that never happened. In fact, he couldn't hold a job for more than 6 months. Why? Because whenever things were going good, he would always find a way to screw it up. At the time, I didn't really understand why he was doing this. But now I see what was going on. He was self-sabotaging himself. Anytime things were going well... He'd find a way to mess it up. Now, he wasn't consciously doing this or doing it on purpose... But on a subconscious level, he believed didn't deserve the success so he'd find a way to screw it up. The truth is there are a LOT of people that do this. Heck, even I do it at times. But the key is to recognize when you're doing it... So you can take back control before you sabotage yourself. Alright, let's hop to the second thing on my mind this morning... 2. Skepticism can be a GOOD thing If you're skeptical of anything these days, most people will label you a conspiracy theorist. And I know this first hand. When I talk about things like officials being bribed by pharmaceutical companies... I get a few emails from people calling me "a conspiracy theorist." But the truth is? I'm just skeptical. I do my research. And I believe that you SHOULD be skeptical too. Food companies, big pharma, insurance salesmen, chemical spills, social media companies... Don't believe what they say or what you hear about them. Why? Because they have a history of not telling the truth. Now, I'm not saying to question everything that happens or that you hear. I'm just saying to have a healthy level of skepticism. Because that's how you protect yourself from getting scammed. Let's hop to the last thing on my mind this morning... 3. Most turmeric products are a joke. For the past 6 months or so, I've been doing some research on Turmeric and all its health benefits. Like how you can get the same amount of pain relief that you can from ibuprofen. Or about how people can lose up to 10 lbs taking it. And I've also looked into some of the "premium" turmeric supplements out there. And when I say premium, I'm talking $140 per bottle. Now, when I saw the price tags on these supplements... I immediately thought: "Why are these bottles so expensive? What makes them premium?" Well, after doing some research... I discovered that most of these turmeric supplements were just 95% turmeric extract. Don't get me wrong... This is a higher-quality form of turmeric. But it's not the best, most bioavailable form you can get. Meaning your body can't fully absorb the compounds in it... And you can't get ALL the pain-relieving benefits from taking it. So, what is the highest quality form of turmeric? That's the exact question I asked myself... And after digging through dozens of studies... And even talking to our expert biochemists at Infinite Age... I discovered what's called a water-dispersed form of Turmeric. Meaning the Turmeric instantly dissolves in water... So its compounds get right into your bloodstream... And start giving you the pain relief your muscles and joints are screaming for. Now, if you're wondering where to find this form of Turmeric... Then you'll have to stay tuned because I have some BIG news I'll share later this week. But until then, I'd suggest staying clear of those "premium" turmeric supplements. Because they're nothing more than a waste of money. Alright, that's all for today. Have a blessed day... -John Carlisle |
