Every Monday morning I write down 3 random thoughts and reflect on them. This is something I've been doing since my prison days. This little ritual helps me step back and reflect on things before I start my week. Let's see if it does the same for you. So with that said... Let's jump into the first thought on my mind this morning... 1. Freedom is an illusion If you think about it... Freedom doesn't really exist. I mean, if you took gravity away... The world would have no order and we'd be floating around everywhere. Or if there were no laws... The world would be a LOT crazier than it is today. So there always needs to be some level of order in place. However, true freedom comes from choice; The choice to do what you want, when you want, with whoever you want. That's what real freedom is. And you know what? God gave us that freedom the moment he created us. We can do whatever we want. The problem is that society has forced us into its mold... And tried to take away that freedom. They try to make us their puppets. Their consumers. Their pawns. But screw that. I can do what I want to do. And you can too. Don't let them control you. You do you. And don't let anyone tell you differently. That's your God-given right. That's the freedom he gave to you. And you have every right to exercise that freedom. Speaking of freedom, that brings me to my second point... 2. We sold a TON of Black Seed Extract for our July 4th sale. Now, if you missed it... We gave away two free bottles of Black Seed Extract when you purchased one. This was the first time we ever did something like this. And based on how many bottles we sold... Everyone LOVED it. In fact, we sold a record number of bottles. And I'm guessing it's for two reasons: 1) Black Seed Extract is one of the best ways to reduce inflammation and normalize blood sugar 2) We were giving away two bottles for free. So in the future, we'll be doing more of these. So keep an eye out for those. Alright, let's talk about the last thing on my mind this morning... 3. Develop a winning mindset Just a few days ago, I came across an interview with Kobe Bryant. Now, hopefully, you know who Kobe is... But if not, that's okay. He's one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Anyways, he was talking about how he approached the game and became so lethal on the court. And one word he used stood out to me: Obsessed. He was obsessed with the game. Everything he did was to improve and become the very best at what he did. And I believe that we can take that principle and apply it to our lives. Even though we might not be an athlete... We are all human. And that means we all have the potential to become the very best version of ourselves. But to do that, we must improve ALL areas of our life. Not just one. Maybe you've heard the phrase: "How you do one thing is how you do anything?" Well, it's true. And that's why I believe getting control of your health is the foundation for everything else in your life. Because if you can develop the discipline to eat well and exercise regularly... If you can become obsessed with the little things... Then everything else will improve. You'll have more energy at work. You'll be able to think better. To perform better. To look better. And you'll have the discipline to say "no" to the things that don't serve you or your goals. Anyways, I gotta wrap up there because I need to get to work. But I hope you found this to be valuable. Have a blessed Monday... -John Carlisle |
