Subject: 3 Monday random thoughts (November 20th edition)

Every Monday morning I write down 3 random thoughts and reflect on them.

This is something I've been doing since my prison days.

This little ritual helps me step back and reflect on things before I start my week.

Let's see if it does the same for you.

So with that said...

Let's jump into the first thought in my mind this morning:

1. Chasing What Seems Impossible

Ever wondered what it takes to do something no one else has done before?

To break records and redefine what's possible?

Take Usain Bolt, for example.

This guy didn't just wake up one day as the fastest man on the planet.

Nope, it was a long road, filled with ups and downs.

Bolt started out without any fancy gear or top-notch training facilities.

What he had was something bigger...

A dream and rock-solid belief in himself.

In the beginning, it wasn't about winning gold medals or breaking records.

It was all about facing and overcoming his own challenges...

Like dealing with defeats, injuries, and people doubting him.

There's something Bolt once said that really sticks with me:

"I told myself I need to be a world champion. I need to be the best."

He didn't just aim to win...

He was out to create his name in history.

His story's a great reminder for us...

It's our non-stop drive...

Even when we stumble and fall...

That turns us into our own kind of champions.

2. The Power of Small Changes

You know how we sometimes think big changes happen all at once?

Like flipping a switch and everything's different?

Well, real change isn't quite like that.

It's not about jumping to the finish line...

It's about taking baby steps that add up over time.

Usain Bolt didn't become the world's fastest man overnight.

He got there by sticking to his routine...

Day in and day out.

He didn't try to reinvent his whole training in one go.

Instead, he focused on little improvements...

A bit more speed...

A bit better technique...

A bit more power...

Each and every day.

It was those tiny steps, consistently taken...

That made him the world's fastest man.

3. Embracing Your Unique Journey

Just a final thought before we jump into the week.

Each of our journeys is different – kinda like our own unique fingerprints.

What works for Usain Bolt might not work for you...

And that's totally fine.

The real deal is to figure out what works for you.

Find your own groove, your own speed, and what success means in your book.

It could be growing your business...

Taking care of your family...

Or chasing down some personal dreams...

It's all about creating your own path.

So, as we get this week rolling...

Let's keep a bit of that Usain Bolt magic in mind...

Dream big, push the limits, and don't throw in the towel.

Remember, this race we're running...

It's really just with ourselves.

Have a blessed day...

-John Carlisle
