Secret Service Director Resignation Only First Step in Accountability

U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has resigned. While this is a small step towards accountability for the security failures that left President Trump within centimeters of losing his life and killing American hero Corey Comperatore, we still have a long way to go.

Cheatle's resignation is only step one of cleaning house. Everyone involved in the massive failures at President Trump's rally in Pennsylvania should follow suit immediately, starting from the top down. We will not stop demanding answers and transparency for what happened that day. Following Director Cheatle's resignation, the Secret Service is still hiding behind a vague, slow-moving investigation. We have yet to receive any answers on how this could have happened or what the Secret Service is doing to ensure this never happens again.

This is far from over. Our fight to uncover the answers the American people deserve continues next week when the Senate holds a hearing with the Secret Service and FBI. I look forward to sharing our findings from the hearing in next week's newsletter.

Prime Minister Netanyahu Addresses Congress Amid Far-Left Meltdown

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered an address to Congress this week on the war against the Hamas terrorists. Hamas' horrific attack against Israel on October 7th was evil- and would not have happened if Donald Trump were at the helm achieving peace through strength. I was honored to stand with our closest ally in the Middle East by attending the prime minister's address.

While we showed respect for Prime Minister Netanyahu's visit to our Nation's Capital, Kamala Harris - who is angling to be the Democratic Party's nominee for president - didn't even show up. Her absence, and other Democrats' absence, speaks volumes to the fact their party is not pro-Israel but pro-Hamas- terrorist sympathizers. Even more appalling was the disgraceful sideshow that unfolded on the streets of Washington, D.C. Radicals staged an anti-Israel, anti-American demonstration, burning the American flag and defacing public property.

I applaud Prime Minister Netanyahu for not letting anti-Israel Democrats or pro-Hamas activists intimidate or influence his visit.

USPS Releases Audit on Kansas City Area Mail Delays

As soon as Kansans told us about their mail delivery problems and delayed services with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), our office immediately began asking questions and aggressively pushed the USPS to conduct an audit.

I am proud to announce that our repeated calls for an audit were successful. The USPS released an evaluation of mail services in the Kansas City metro area this week, revealing the numerous problems and vulnerabilities impacting our mail services. The primary causes of mail delivery issues are employee shortages and non-compliance with typical operating procedures at the Kansas City Processing and Distribution Center, as well as oversight issues at delivery units and Post Office stations throughout the KC metro area.

Kansans deserve consistent and reliable mail services from the USPS. Now that we know the problems, we need to focus on solutions. I look forward to continuing conversations and receiving updates from the USPS on how they will tackle this issue quickly.
