Powering opportunity.
Right here at home.

It's spring, and right on schedule, the falcons have returned to their nest on top of our Topeka office building, patiently nurturing four eggs!

Just a few feet below, inside that same building, our Evergy engineers and project managers nurture a different kind of future, helping bring jobs and economic growth to our hometowns, and to the next generation.

  • Evergy's economic development team played a critical role in Google's decision to bring a new $1 billion data center to Kansas City, MO, along with 1,300 jobs.
  • Our teams spent months assessing the needs of Panasonic's new EV battery factory in De Soto, KS, including the new Clearview Substation, which will increase reliability for the whole area. The factory will bring more than 4,000 jobs to the area.
  • Evergy engineers designed the energy infrastructure of the new CPKC women's soccer stadium (home of the Kansas City Current), transforming a once-abandoned dump site into a world-class sports facility.

To keep pace with economic development, Evergy crews continually maintain our infrastructure to deliver the kind of affordable, reliable power needed to attract new businesses. Watch how they do it.

Use generators safely

Spring thunderstorms can mean downed trees and outages. If you plan to use a generator for emergency power, use it safely.

They're back!

A pair of falcons is once again nesting atop Every's Topeka office, protecting four eggs. And in the nest at our Iatan facility, there are three eggs! Watch the live webcam ->>

Look for the Evergy Green Team

Evergy's team of employee volunteers will be joining other groups planting more than 1,700 trees along Independence Avenue in KCMO. Give our crew a wave if you see them out there and read more about the Urban Heat Island Project.
