Every Monday morning I write down 3 random thoughts and reflect on them. This is something I've been doing since my prison days. This little ritual helps me step back and reflect on things before I start my week. Let's see if it does the same for you. So with that said... Let's jump into the first thought on my mind this morning... 1. We can't change our biological hardwiring. I talked about this a few weeks ago... But it's so important that I'm going to talk about it again. A little over a month ago, I was at the warehouse talking to Riko. One way or another... We started talking about his brother Niko... And how his wife cheated on him for an entire year before divorcing him. Riko and I both agreed that all of this happened due to his wife being the breadwinner. You'll see why in just a moment... But first... You have to understand something: Niko's wife's cheating wasn't a sudden thing... It was a gradual loss of attraction. Niko said it all started when he felt his wife pulling away... Becoming more and more distant... And doing things like staying at the office longer and not spending as much time with the family. And while she was gone at the office... Niko did everything he thought she wanted him to do. He kept the house clean... Kept hot food on the table for her... And basically kept the house in good order. And after all this... He couldn't understand why his wife seemed to pull away even harder. The covers were pulled off what she was really doing when one of her co-workers messaged Niko on Facebook and told him about his wife cheating with their boss. Niko was crushed. And what made matters even worse was... The fact that his wife's boss was what society would consider a "high value man." He had the cars, money, and status. And Niko? Well... He was a good homemaker. You see, Niko's wife couldn't help but lose attraction for her husband. No matter how much she loved Niko and how much she had invested into the relationship... She couldn't fight her biological hardwiring. She couldn't fight the fact that as a woman... She's attracted to ambitious, high-achieving men. This is nothing more than a matter of survival. Thousands and thousands of years ago... When the world was a harsh place... Ambitious men provided the best chance of survival. They had no problem going out into the dangerous world and hunting. They had no problem taking risks. And they had no problem providing for the family. As I said, these types of men provided the family the best chance of survival. This line of thinking still exists in both men and women today. And it's not only important in matters of attraction... But with virtually everything (including our health). Which brings me to my 2nd thought this Monday morning... Which is... 2. We're healthiest when we live the way our body is hardwired. Ever wonder why 60% of modern Americans are considered overweight? Things weren't always like this. In fact, if you study the data... You'll notice obesity rates skyrocket with the invention of food preservation. Thousands of years ago, humans didn't have such easy access to food. Meaning, we'd go hours and sometimes days before catching or killing another animal to eat. As a result... Our bodies became used to not having food... And became efficient at turning food into fat so we could convert it into energy when we didn't have food. Food isn't a problem today... And we rarely go more than 5 hours without eating. But just because our food problems have changed... Doesn't mean our bodies changed. And when we don't give our body a break from food... We get fat. That's why fasting works so well to lose weight. We give our bodies the opportunity to use fat instead of food for its fuel. Amazing, right? I hope this all makes sense... Because my third thought this morning is really going to blow your mind. Which is... 3. Our bodies are hardwired to use plants and herbs to heal our failing symptoms. When you think about everything I've told you today... It makes sense why lab-made multivitamins don't work as well as things like my Sea Moss Advanced or Black Seed Extract. Again, it all comes down to our biological hardwiring. For the last 10,000 years... We've been eating natural plants, herbs, and meat. Therefore our bodies have become optimized to absorb the nutrients from these things. Just think... Fake vitamins and minerals have only been around for the last 50 years or so. And if you know anything about the human body... 50 years isn't enough time for our bodies to adapt to these synthetic nutrients. Adaptation takes thousands of years. Case in point... When we understand where we came from, what we ate, and how we survived... Life will all make sense. Have a blessed day... -John Carlisle |
