#OnePillCanKill

Fellow Kansan,

Fentanyl, the deadliest drug our nation has ever seen, kills a Kansan nearly every day and is the leading cause of death for Americans ages 18-45. Known as the 'silent killer,' fentanyl cannot be detected by taste, smell, or sight when mixed with other drugs and is up to 50 times stronger than heroin.

Today getting fentanyl is easier than ordering a slice of pizza - and the drug dealers will deliver the poison right to your house.

Most people think 'that won't happen to me,' but that is not the reality of this epidemic. These pills are infiltrating our communities and have claimed the lives of over 1,200 Kansans. Every Kansan needs to be on high alert for fentanyl, and understand how you can protect yourself and your loved ones.

I led a statewide coalition in a nonpartisan #OnePillCanKill fentanyl awareness campaign. This coalition represented various industries, and our campaign focused on spreading the word about the dangers of illicit fentanyl, the drug's growing presence across Kansas, and how everyone can fight back.  It will take all of us working together to tackle this crisis. Remember, One Pill Can Kill.
